Learn how to use CREATIVITY and CONNECTION together to become the family you want to be...
You might think that all you need to foster your children’s creativity is to give them a few art materials or even set up an art space, but if you miss the crucial CONNECTION piece of the puzzle, your time and money may well be wasted.
In this course, I share why connection plays such an important role in fostering children’s creativity and how to do it easily without spending much more time. I help you make easy tweaks in your family so you can lay the foundation for a lifetime of creativity, self-confidence, and success.
This mini course will not take a lot of your time to follow or implement, yet the potential impact it can have over time is tremendous.
Fostering Creativity & Connection in Your Family
This online course will help you foster your children’s creativity in the most overlooked, yet most important, way—through the power of connection.
Connection & creativity go hand-in-hand beautifully and each feeds the other and the family in ways you may not have considered.
Interactions with those close to us are the connections that foster creativity.
In turn, creative activities make many of our family interactions and transitions easier and more fun.
Both are crucial pieces of the parenting toolkit, especially when used in combination, as I teach in this course.
You might not think you have time for more connection but I will actually show you many ways to connect through creativity that take no extra time or that simply reframe activities you already do. Plus, you will find that the ways that do require a little extra time are well worth it.

A Passion for Creativity
My name is Jean Van't Hul and I will be your friend and guide throughout this course, helping you to foster creativity in your family.
As the founder of The Artful Parent blog and the author of two books, I have years of experience making art and creativity easy and fun for families. I will give you the tools, info, and inspiration to help you use the powerful tools of CONNECTION and CEATIVITY in your family.
I'm a mother to two children, ages 7 and 11, and live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina in the United States. I have a degree in art history and studio art from Wellesley College, and years of working in arts organizations, but it wasn't until I became a parent that the pure potential of art and creativity gelled in my mind.
I am passionate about helping children reach their creative potential and I look forward to helping you create a strong creative foundation for your family!
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for parents and caregivers who want to raise creative kids. The material is best suited for those with children ages 3 through 10.
What are the dates of the course?

I live in the UK (Australia, Switzerland, etc.). Is it ok to sign up for your course?
Yes! That's the beauty of an online course. :) You can take it from anywhere!
I would love to do this with my children but don’t feel creative or good at art. Is this a good program for me?
Absolutely! You don’t have to feel confident in your own artistic abilities in order to foster your children’s creativity. In fact, this course would probably be perfect for you as I think it would give you tools and strategies for encouraging art and creativity in your household (plus the confidence to do it more regularly). It might even help you with confidence about your own creativity…
I love your site & books! If one already has your books, is it still worthwhile to take the course?
Absolutely! This is new material that I haven't covered in my books.
I am wondering if I can view the course at any time that fits my schedule or is it "live" and available on certain days and times only?
So here's how the course will work... once you enroll, you will have access to all of the course material. You can work through it at your own pace. All the materials are available for download and printing. So you can also save everything to your computer and even print them out to put in a 3 ring binder or something (and keep forever).
I am interested in your course but would be taking it as a teacher rather than a parent. Is that okay?
I'd imagine that some of the material would be relevant to you and some not so much as I am focusing on parents and the home with this particular course. Because of your work, though, I think you would enjoy the course and find plenty of information to use with your students and to share with their families. You can always give the course a try and if you find it's not for you, you can ask for a refund (within 30 days).
How long do I have access to the course?
You'll have access through the course site indefinitely. You can also download and/or print anything from the course and keep it to refer to again and again.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
I would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact me in the first 30 days and I will give you a full refund.
Should I take this course if I took Artful Parenting 101?
This mini course is adapted from one of the core lessons in my 10-week signature course. If you’ve taken Artful Parenting 101, some of the material in this mini course may seem familiar. However, I’ve expanded on and restructured the material to make it even more useful and actionable.
